Director Position to be Filled  During Council Meeting

Councilors will elect a new member of our union's Board of Directors on Dec. 9.

A vacancy was created when Marlene DeChane, a board member, was elected second vice president during the annual convention in North Conway Oct. 30 and 31.

The new director will serve the reminder of DeChane's term, until the 2005 Annual Convention. Members who work for the state are eligible for the position.

The Board of Directors meets monthly to oversee union operations. The Council meets four times a year, and is the union's highest governing body when the convention is not in session.

The election will be held during the quarterly meeting of the Council, at the N.H. Department of Environmental Services building (formerly the Health and Human Services building) 29 Hazen Drive, Concord, on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. Members who are not councilors, as well as the public, are invited to attend as non-voting observers.
